Copyright & DMCA Policy

BCINexus respects intellectual property rights and expects the same from every user. You may only upload or publish content you own or have the legal right to use, and license terms travel with published work. This policy explains how to report infringement on BCINexus and what happens when a valid report is received. It follows the notice-and-takedown model of the US DMCA and equivalent frameworks elsewhere; you can use it regardless of your jurisdiction.

If you believe content on BCINexus infringes your copyright (or a right you're authorized to act for), send a notice to [email protected] with the subject "Copyright notice" containing: - Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed - The URL or precise location of the infringing content on BCINexus - Your name, organization (if any), email address, and physical address - A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent, or the law - A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act for them - Your physical or electronic signature Incomplete notices slow everything down. We may ask for missing details before acting.

On receiving a valid notice, we may remove or disable access to the identified content and will make reasonable efforts to notify the user who posted it, including a copy of the notice. Knowingly filing a false infringement claim can expose you to liability. Don't use copyright notices to silence legitimate criticism or competing research.

If your content was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice to [email protected] containing: - Identification of the removed content and where it appeared - A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification - Your name, email address, physical address, and consent to the jurisdiction stated in the Terms of Service - Your physical or electronic signature Where the law permits, we may restore content after a valid counter-notice unless the original complainant informs us they have filed a court action within the applicable window.

Accounts that repeatedly infringe intellectual property rights will be terminated. We keep records of notices and enforcement actions for this purpose.

BCILattice, BCINexus, their logos, and platform design are trademarks or protected assets of BCINexus or its licensors. Don't use them in ways that imply endorsement or affiliation without written permission. For license disputes about published community content (for example, a study republished in violation of its stated license), use the same notice process in Section 2 — describe the license and the violation instead of a copyright registration.
