What does "cloud" mean in BCINexus?
Cloud = storage & collaboration only. All signal processing and ML training runs 100% on your local machine. No compute charges. Nothing uploaded without your action.
Frequently asked questions
Does BCINexus use cloud compute for training?
No, all ML model training runs locally on your machine using your own CPU or GPU. Cloud is used only for data storage, team dataset sharing, and publishing to the Community Hub.
Can I switch plans at any time?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades apply at the end of the current billing cycle.
How does 6-month billing work?
You are charged every 6 months at 20% off the monthly rate. For example, Researcher is billed at $12/mo × 6 = $72 every 6 months instead of $15/mo.
How does annual billing work?
Annual billing saves you 30%, equivalent to ~4 months free. You are charged once per year. Researcher: $126/year ($11/mo) vs $180/year monthly.
What happens to my cloud data if I downgrade?
Your data is preserved for 90 days. You can download or delete it before storage limits are enforced.
Do you offer academic discounts?
Yes, verified students and non-profit research institutions receive 20% off Researcher and Lab plans. Email us with your institutional address.
Is my EEG data ever uploaded to your servers?
Only if you explicitly choose to upload it for cloud storage or team sharing. Local experiments run entirely on-device. Nothing is uploaded without your action.
What does "Full Project upload" mean?
A Full Project upload packages your entire session, data config, preprocessing, NeuralFlow paradigm, trained model, and results, into one .bcinexus archive. Available on Lab and above.
What does Enterprise include that Institution does not?
Enterprise adds on-premise or air-gapped deployment, custom hardware edge targets, a HIPAA/GxP/GDPR compliance package, white-label branding, a 24/7 dedicated engineering pod, and a guaranteed uptime SLA. It is designed for regulated industries, pharma, medtech, defense, where data sovereignty, compliance, and always-on support are non-negotiable.
